I thought I would create a new topic to ask and track specifically about the export of history on 5.1.11. I hope that is OK but I didn't want this specific issue to get lost under the repository import topic of 6.2.

The migration documentation states to upgrade a 5.1.x system to 6.2.x you need to upgrade to 5.1.11 snapshot (http://integration.openkm.com/5.1/) and then do a repository export, and import it into a 6.2 system.

There does not seem to be an ability to export with history from 5.x... This is obviously a problem in that an upgrade to 6.2.x would loose all history of files if the 5.1.11 snapshot was incapable of exporting the repository with history included. I opened this topic because I am not entirely sure whether the 5.1.x snapshot is currently in a state of not being able to export history or whether it is just not working for me correctly. I thought I understood that it was not yet implemented based on the "repository import fails" thread (http://forum.openkm.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8390) but I was also under the impression that ticket 0002507 (Improve import / export compatibility between OpenKM 5.1 and 6.2) was suppose to address this. This ticket was closed but the 5.1.11 snapshot seems to be still in the same state (no export with history capability).

Again... great work guys. I am just a little bit confused on the status of the export with history on the 5.1.x snapshot. It is necessary to complete a migration to 6.2.x and I already started developing some web services against the new 6.2.x services. I am hoping to complete a migration of my repository to 6.2.x soon.

Thanks

Should I see a checkbox to include the history with the export on Version 5.1.11-snapshot (build 7614)? (I see a checkbox to include metadata but not history).. Or is the history automatically exported.

How are the older versions of the files stored in the export? I see the current version of the file and the json encoded metadata file with an .okm extension... but I do not see the older versions of the files in the export. How are they stored in the export?

Here is a link to a pdf which I placed on my site. It is just under 1 MB (but to big to upload into your forum)

http://kevin.fonner.net/files/openkm-up ... oblems.pdf

It contains a detailed walk through with a bare bones 5.1.10 system upgraded to 5.1.11 exported and then imported into a 6.2.2-7804 system. All steps were performed with the various openkm servers ran on a Suse Linux system. I included text describing what I did with the screen shots included. The problem seems to be the 5.1.11-7614 system is incapable of exporting the versions of the files. Please let me know if you have any questions.
