Hi jllort, pavilla,

Thanks for the fantastic product which is one of the best things happen to me, and saves heaps of time and money although I use OpenKM for only my personal use (invoices, letters and other documents..)

Now the version 6.2 been released however I am clueless how to update from my current installation (version 5.1.10) to 6.2. But I believe you are working hard on preparing the documentation on migration.

Will you be able to let us all know how are you progressing on the documentation?

Is there any assistance I can provide for the documentation? (spelling correction, proof reading...?)

Thanks with regards,
OkmUser

We have some overload and during this week I think will be difficult we can update the documentation. Is more realistic think we will done next week or at weekend. We would like to be this week but I'm not sure it'll be possible. Basically now are two sections that need deep revision: migration guide and developer guide ( this will need several hours because I want to record a video ).

Hi,

I've got a problem on the migration guide:
http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Migrat ... .11_to_6.2

I don't really understand it. At which point do I have to upgrate die OpenKM.war? Or do I have to install OKM 6.2 side by side with 5.1.10? I hope not. Because I have a lot of configuration on jBoss and certificates. That would be the hell to reconfigure a new OKM 6.2 installation in the same way. :-)

Thank you.

OpenKM 6.x comes with tomcat not with jboss you should migrate to tomcat configuration. We understand is tedious, but is necessary. When you talk about certificates ... about what are you talking about ?

OpenKM 5.1.11 allow to export openkm configuration to sql ( take a look at top right icon ). Then do not execute all extracted sql simply execute with sense.

With certificates I'm mean the https configuration in jboss. And all other configurations that take not place inside OpenKM. The OpenKM configuration was the easy part. Configurating jboss was awful. :-)

You should configure jboss or tomcat behind apache server and setup there the ssl certificates ( when you talk about it I supposed you was talking about it ). the correct way for configure openkm is always behing apache server ( is not good idea expose tomcat or jboss ports directly ).

If you decide to configure tomcat consider take a look here : http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/ssl-howto.html
