scanner applet cofiguration

hi,

i'm trying to use scanner and file upload feature but its giving me the following error

" OKM-018022(setScannerApplet): Error in browser configuration

JRE support not detected in your browser"

i'm running openkm 5.1.9 , firefox12.0 browser , OS windows7

i installed Java now it worked . now i have a question should i install the scnner driver on the server where i installed openkm or each computer accing openkm can use the scanner installed on the computer it self ?? and how to integrate it with openkm??im trying to use hp scanner

UI scanner acts as an application that runs with indepence in your computer browser ( not in server ). You need scanner software installed in your pc to run it ( there is no relation with server ). If your scanner is twain compliance then applet ( openkm scanner application ) will run without major problems.
