Yes, joako is on thruth, migration done is not yet done, basically because we're not still considering it's on stable stage.

We're still making major changes, specially on metadata and workflow. Sure it'll be a 5.1.6 before we could try considering stable

I think that OpenKM 5.1.5 is pretty stable for daily use. But I will wait for next version to document the migration from 5.x branch.

Anyway remember: Won't break your house nor will cause a nuclear war (at least is my hope)

Catscratch wrote:Hi,

now version 5.1.6 is out. Do you know, when the 5.1 branch is stable enough to migrate from 5.0.4?
I am watching the answer to this question with interest as well :)

Really last 5.1.X it's stable. Last month we've been involved on several projects at same time, and we've not could find any time to make migration. There's nothing else. My estimation is that from 15 of July we could start working on it. Meanwhile it's not possible.

Any news about this topic?
5.1.7 is now out and there is still no migration doc.
Will 5.0.x users simply be abandonned?

5.0 user must be patient while we finishing migration procedure, we're working on full export data based xml files with metadata etc... that will be used to migration or importing files with extra information ( the second now can not be done ). That's reason why we've still not finishing.

Thanks for posting this update. I think that now explains why there is still no doc about the migration.
I think that importing files with extra infos stored in XML is a must have so it makes sense.
Let us know once we finally can migrate using this export/import (plus it sounds like it will be a nice feature for backups).
