If OpenKM was installed on a company's internal server, could it manage documents across multiple drives?

Can the documents stay where they are and OpenKM would be able manage them?

Thank you.

OpenKM is a repository, you can share OpenKM as a network device, but OpenKM not indexes network resource ( althought you could import ), OpenKM it's not only an indexing system, it's a repository to save it ( hope you could understand de diference ). You can import several folders location in network, etc... but all data is in one single point -> one repository ( OpenKM respository and at least one device shared in network, openkm repository shared by webdav ).
