Setup OpenKM with MySQL

Hi...

I tried to setup OpenKM with MySQL.
When I initially unpacked the downloaded Zip and started the JBoss, the application was running without problem (with HSQL DB).

Now I changed the "openkm-ds.xml" as following:

Now, when I start the JBoss the is a grammar problem with table "OKMWorkflow.JBPM_JOB". That mean, that the table could not be created.

Are there any additional things I have to modify, that I can work with MySQL database?
Is there anywhere a howto, how the setup for MySQL has to be done?

Some parts in the wiki are only accessible by OKM Network subscriptors. In the main page of the wiki the is a link to make the subscription.

Anyway, if you already created a repository with a database definition you can't change the database backend and expect to work. If you change the database, a new repository should be created.

Dear Friends,

Nice to see a new stable version of openKM. I have installed it and configured it for mysql backend using the instructions from the protected wiki pages. Everything worked great (I think)! I still have to look into the active directory authentication (didn't work with the first try).

I would be happy if you could answer a simple question. Are the documents/images uploaded to openkm stored at the local filesystem or at the mysql db? Our sql server doesn't seem to grow very rapidly but I noticed the local folder "repository/repository" is a couple of MBs.

Is it possible that I have misconfigured openkm?

Thanks very much for everything so far. I cannot post the repository.xml file for obvious reasons.

First, repository configuration only take effects first time you start jboss, then configuration can not be changed if you don't restarting entire creation of OpenKM.

If you've not changed repository.xml configuration by default blobs ( documents ) are stored in local disc under repository folder at jboss home. But can be changed to be stored in dbms changing configuration in repository.xml

By default if you've got a small repository, less 100GB configure to hard disk is good option ( normal we make it, althought backup must be dbms and hard disk ), because you don't lose time retrieving document ( dbms to temporal disc and then forwarded acrros application server ) if document is yet stored in local hard disk is automatically retrived to user across application server. Only is more greater installations we decide for complete database support, basically because administrators want to take advantage of getting all information on DBMS.

Can any one help me please to connect with Mysql for OpenKM 5.0.

If I change the option of OpenKM.cfg

hibernate.hbm2ddl=none
to hibernate.hbm2ddl=update

would it solve my case or do I need to enter hibernate.hbm2ddl=create?

The problem is on openkm-ds.xml file ( something is wrong there ). The file is into server/default/deploy ( might be there if you've not deleted )

In older OpenKM there was several databases ( workflow / activity ... etc... ) , from version 5.x is all on one, take look in your openkm-ds.xml that there no JNDI spected with the name OpenKMDS
