Email Notification configuration in OpenKM

I am runing 5.0.1 version OpenKM. I searched in the forum regarding email notification configuration, as per the the detail i have to edit the mail-service.xml file by changing only SMTP Server address & mail id of Mail from option. also have to add notification code in the OpenKM.cfg file. please let me know after configuring how to send a notification from OpenKM to particular users.

modified OpenKM.cfg & mail.service.xml files are attached for reference. please check and let me know the problem in the code in both files.

Please response for the above, since i am new to openkKM.

First of all, why are you running so older OpenKM version 5.0.1 ? we consider this version out of support, you should migrate to 6.3 or if it's a recent installation, my suggestion is clean it and install 6.3. Before spending time on this version tell us which is your status ?

Thank you for reply. I am using OpenKm from last 4 years, since i cannot clean it and install new version. i have to upgrade version by version know? i cannot upgrade directly to latest version know?

From which version you are providing support for mail configuration?

Now i modified mail-service.xml and openkm.cfg file as attached in the previous mail as per the guide line in the wiki.openkm.com. after running the openkm where i get the option to send a notification to the users while uploading (importing bulk documents at a time) or renaming the files in the openkm after mail configuration. i have given each user valid emailid.

Can we send a notification to any email-id (different domain names)?

You need to upgrade from one version to the next one. I also suggest upgrading to a more recent OpenKM release.

you only can send mails to registered users, nothing else. But registered users can have any mail domain ( this restriction only depends on your mail server configuration is not in OpenKM side ).
