I see a few older posts from 2008 regarding CAD file management, revisioning, and extensions. I just want to see what has developed since then?

Something I would like to see is when a file is checked in, automatically create a PDF in a different folder and email it. Would this be done through extensions or through workflows?

It can be done with an automation task. For example, as a process that takes in consideration the document creation or document update events.
