We're finishing OpenKM version 4.1, hope in few weeks it'll be released with better workflow support. I recomend to be waiting during this time and upgrade after to this version - you'll don't need to migrate - only replace war file. We'll put there some minimal examble about workflow.

After this workflow improvement, we will focuse to improve the user documentation. Specially the related to workflow engine.
