Problems moving openKM 6.2.3 to new Server 2012

Hi Everyone.

I'm new to this so please bear with me.

We currently run OpenKM 6.2.3 on a VM running server 2003 which is becoming unstable. we have the repository on a lun attached to the VM and backed up to a NAS.
We have a new install of server 2012 (standard) that we need to move OpenKM onto, but I have hit a few walls.

OpenKM 6.2.3 will not open on Server 2012
openKM 6.3 will not find the repository from 6.3.2

We have a backup solution in place that will enable us to run a 'hot spare' to do any changes without the need to alter the live system.

Please can anyone let me know where I start?

What database are you using ( default HSQL, embeded database or MySQL, consider move to Mysql on production environments ). If your case is HSQL, the simply moving entire openkm 6.2.3 to new server server should be enought. My suggestion if still you got the installer is:
- Install openkm 6.2.3 into server 2012 ( same destination than 2003 sever )
- Overwrite all openkm installation from exiting into 2003 server.

From 6.2.3 running on 2012 can think then on upgrading, but previously you must got 6.2.3 running.

thanks for the reply, we run an embedded database as we don't use OpenKM to anywhere near its capabilities.
