Error Import from 5 to 6

Hi,

I have exported the repository from 5.1.11 with meta data and history; and tried to import it in 6.3.0(with history and meta data) always I get the below error:

If I check the repository I find part of it imported with the correct data.

Do you have categories ? did you imported first categories before importing anything else ?
The problem happens on a document, has version history ?

There are two category which only assigned to one document on the repository. No I have not imported the category.
the error message on the bottom on a folder. but the messages before all for documents of type (.msg) .

First must import categories and then the other files, otherside if some document is assigned to a category will raise to you an error because category is still not present.

For what you explain the problem comes with msg file ? Here there's some problem how openkm consider this sort of files in version 5.x and how is considering now. I suggest do import in two steps:
1- first without msg or eml files ( try to execute some script or simply remove by hand from your exported folder )
2- do and export without UUID, etc... only to get the msg files as are, binary files. remove everything except msg, eml files and then try to import it.

The problem is that msg files now are mail objects and not binary docs as are declared into 5.1.11 and the import process will not working in this scenario because is waiting other kind of information. Must upload as single files and then openkm will process this files correctly.

I have deleted all the msg files but still getting error. After investigation I found the error was from directories with "&" , I have delete all those directories and the import went successfully.

- Is there a way to import these directories? or I have to remove the special character?
- Another issue I noticed, when giving access to a group (from AD) if the group scope (in AD) is "universal" it will work ok but if the group scope is "global" it will be added but members of the group won't take the access as it should.

About the problem with special charset, I think is this case is not possible directly migrate from 5 to 6.3 should try to 6.2.X and after jump to 6.3 ( in this version we've introduced change in way how some special characters are stored into openkm and that will make non compatible export & import feature for these. Take in mind export & import migration from 5 to 6 is the last time will be used between repository migrations. From version 6.x will not be needed and with some minimal sql script etc.. the upgrade is done. Until version 6 migration was hard because changes on jackrabbit repository force doing it. From 6 we had create our own repository structure and is not needed.

I have imported the repository to 6.2 then update to 6.3 and it went fine the only issue now is the AD global groups which I have opened a new post for it (http://forum.openkm.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12419)
