How to integrate comparison tools with openkm ?

I have added checkbox for each versions in history tab. now, i want to compare two selected versions only. how can i achieve it. please give me any suggestions

Compare text files is easy. The problem comes comparing word files or libreoffice files. Comparaison tool is based on document type. Your free to suggest us some tool ( better if it's open source for doing it ).

i am not sure which one is best open source comparison tools. as of now, i would like to go with apache tika 1.4 to convert from doc to txt file format.
this will be very helpful to achieve my intention. my suggestion is, please add this comparison feature in openkm . i did something for my goal in openkm application.

"Added checkboxes for each version and one "Comparison" button at column header under history tab. if user clicked on comparison button, after selecting two checkbox, should be shown the result side by side view with highlighting diff." i did only for text format only. attached screen shot , what i have done ...

I think should be integrated some thirdparty solution ( probably comercial to get something with reasonable good results ), I'm not sure that convert to text file and then compare be a valid solution for major people, obviously can solve some problems.

Have you developed this feature? It seems interesting to be included in future OpenKM releases.

I have developed it with using apache tika. but i could not get prepare results. am going to integrate third party tool. may i know , when will you release openkm next version with this comparison features... ?

Major OpenKM release will be at ends this month or starting next.

About this feature, if you have included in community version, you're wellcome to share with all community users. If code is right, there's no problem on take a look on it and include by default in community version.
