template issue

Hi,

i m using openkm 5.1.10

i have created a template and assigned it to a property group.

then i created a file from this template and was successfully created. BUT the problem is , whenever i try to make any changes to the property group of this file its not effecting the file

like here i try to edit the name, i made change then update it doesnt effect or update the file!! only changed in the property group!

Really this property group is only used to show generated document information, not to rebuild it. This property should be set - probably - to readonly mode.

The kind of feature you propose is interesting but will need some source code changes for it. Actually is not implemented but I take note about it.

Do you meant that if you change the "patient name" property, also want to change the document name?

hi,

no , i mean when i first create document from template ( that is assigned to property group). i fill out fields. and save the file as patient for example.

if i select property group assigned to the file patient and try to update it, it changes in the property group but doesn't effect the file patient it self. i was wondering if this could effect the file directly.

You want to refresh document values when property groups has been changed no ?

when property group is updated i want the values in the document to be effected.

This kind of feature has some problems. This document is a pdf or can be updated in any way? I explain the case with more detail:
1- Create document from template ( fill data )
2- Can you now edit document or not ? When I talk about edit I'm talking about checkout and checkin
