Restricting Deletion of files and folders

Hi,

I have just installed OpenKM 5.1.10 ( 7564) on windows XP platform. I am using all default configuration and have not changed anything. I created some UserRoles and Users and able to create folders and upload documents. I have observed in the "security" settings we can give READ/WRITE/DELETE permissions.

My question is, I do not want normal users to delete the files, even if they have READ and WRITE permission. Basically the delete permission should not be there for anyone other then "admin" . Is it possible?

I have checked forums and wiki documentation but could not locate, how to do it.

I will appreciate any help/comments.

Yes, can be done. Simply on some user or roles do not get DELETE grant. And obviously remove from this users the CHANGE SECURITY grants too otherside they will be able to get this grant changing the security in nodes.

Sorry , could not locate where to do it. As in "Roles" and also in "Users" creation i could not find how to remove the grants. I must be missing something. Please let know. I could see "Profiles" , in which if i create a different profile with "Delete" permission removed and assign users these profiles , it is working fine.

Is this the correct way, please let me know.
