Hi,

In recent times I have had a test run of OpenKM (5.1.9) on OpenJDK7 environment.

For this I used both Debian Wheezy and FreeBSD 9.0 RELEASE as operating systems.

The outcome was, OpenKM showed some errors regarding OpenKM.war file not being deployed properly.
Although I didn't notice any issues in the usage (frontend), bearing in mind that my usage is limited only to some of the several rich features that OpenKM is cabable of, I decided not to implement OpenKM under OpenJDK for production environment, atleast for the time being.

I will try to keep you all informed as much as possible if things improve in the future with OpenKM on OpenJDK.

This post is to inform all who is interested in OpenKM over OpenJDK.

Cheers,

OpenKM has not been fully tested with OpenJDK, but in any case it should run on OpenJDK 6. Due to several JBoss issues, it can't run with OpenJDK 7 nor Oracle (formely Sun) JDK 7.

Next major OpenKM release will be bundle with Tomcat 7 and will run with Java 7.
