Dear Sir,

I have OpenKM 5.1.9 with MySql on Debian 64 bit server running fine in Lan environment.

I have also installed OpenKM 5.1.9 on Windows 7 64 bit, Now I want to make mirror/copy of my Data running on Debian server to windows machine.

Do you advice, if I copy Repository as well as $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/data/hypersonic to replace on windows machine so I have a Backup of my Documents.

Regards,

Abin

To make a backup in the default OpenKM configuration (Hipersonic) you only need to stop JBoss and copy the $JBOSS_HOME/repository and $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/data/hypersonic directories. If you have configured OpenKM to use a database like MySQL, you need to backup $JBOSS_HOME/repository directory and perform a database export.

Anyway, if you want a "readable" backup of your document, try Administration > Repository Export.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your reply.

My Debian as well as windows 7 are on MySql databases.

You mean to say, I should copy the $JBOSS_HOME/repository including sub folders of repository and export Data MySql Database using Phpmyadmin and then copy the repository as well as Import MySql Database in my windows 7 machine.

Thanks & regards,

Abin

There's no problem backuping to shared windows resource from linux to windows server, we've got it on two customer installation without major problems. For doing it we use rdiff-backup.

But this is referred to a backup, not to a mirroring configuration.
