Greetings,

Whenever I upload or modify a document by webdav the document's mime type changes to application/octet-stream. I have no issue with mime types when uploading a document with the web interface. This causes issues while downloading and previewing.

I've tested this issue with the latest versions of webdrive on both Mac and Windows. I've spent a good deal of time searching the wiki and the forums to no avail. Has anyone experienced this issue, and/or have a solution? I'm running OpenKM version 5.1.7.

Thank you,

I just have uploaded a JPEG file using WebDAV and has the right MIME type. Also has the right MIME type after modification via WebDAV. So, I can't reproduce the issue in OpenKM 5.1.8-SNAPSHOT build 8218.

Hi,

I can confirm the same issue with Version: 5.1.8-SNAPSHOT (build: 7179) and the last Webdrive software.

I have just uploaded a .doc file and the MIME type is "application/msword" but after some changes in the file I have saved it and the MIME type is now "application/octet-stream". Also, the version remains as 1.0 after the file modifications so It seems that Webdrive cannot work with versioning...

And...where is the OpenKM 5.1.8-SNAPSHOT build 8218 ? Is it available for download? The last version in http://integration.openkm.com/5.1.x/ is 7179.

Thanks.

Hi pavila,

I'm not sure the issue occurs with a JPEG, were you not able to test with a doc file? In addition, like ccbaxter, I also am having version issues. Not only does the version not increment it seems to 0 out the size of all previous versions of the document.

Thank you.

Hi again,

I've been testing some things on this subject and I would like to share the results with you.

OpenKM Version: 5.1.8-SNAPSHOT (build: 7187)
Webdrive version 10.0

The webdav access through Webdrive works for me with these extensions:

TXT, RTF, PNG, JPG, DGN and DWG

I can edit these type of files directly from Webdrive and when I save changes the MIME type remains OK and a new version is generated in OpenKM. Just fine.

ODT

If I edit this type directly through Webdrive the MIME type doesn't change but OpenKM generates and extra version each time I save the file. I mean
1.0 -> 1.1 (empty version) ->1.2 (modified version)

DOC, XLS (office 2003)

Editing through Webdrive makes the MIME type change to "application/octet-stream" and there is no new version, always 1.0.

ALL the file types works as expected if I overwrite the file in the Webdrive Share, I mean, if I make the changes locally and then overwrite the file of the repository everything works fine, obviouslly this is not what we want...but it helps.

Hope it helps.

Regards.

Sadly I don't have a Mac to try. But I have a virtualized Windows, so I could test it with the same WebDrive version. Which version have you installed?
