unable to login first time as okmAdmin

I installed java and then openKM 5.1.7 on Ubuntu 10.10 on a virtual private server at an ISP.

When I type in the IP adress :8080/openKM I do get a openKM login screen.

Then I type user as : okmAdmin

and password as: admin

Then I get the following error:
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

without stopping the run.sh process, if I type in the IP address:8080/openKM then I get the login screen again.
Then on typing in okmAdmin, admin, I get the following error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.xbill.DNS.Lookup

I keep getting this eror, until I kill the run.sh process.

Then on restarting the run.sh, I get the first error on the first login and then the second error from then onwqrds

I would appreciate it if some-one can help me

Which java version are you using ?
Can see la server.log error ? and startup it'll be apreciated too.

I am using the following java version:

java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode, sharing)

by the way, where can I find the server log file or how do I turn it on.

you can see the errors and debugging level in your server log.
/openkm/server/default/log/server.log

Have you downloaded the JBoss + OpenKM bundle and checked the MD5 checksum to ensure the archive has been downloaded correctly?

Thanks to all your suggestions. The issue was solved when I used another computer with 4 GB memory. The previous enviroonment was a virtual server with 512MB memory upto 1 GB memory bursts.

Yes, 512MB is too little to run JBoss + OpenKM.
