Demo Questions

Hello,

I was referred to OpenKM and I started using the demo, I would like some help regarding a couple questions I have.

-I could not get the search function in the demo program to work properly. After uploading a couple of files, I could not locate them by searching for the file names, keywords entered, or any OCR information within the file itself.

-Is there a way to upload more than 1 file at a time? I was only able to upload one at a time in the demo program.

-Is there a way to add a new user and set access levels and/or permissions for that user or is this only available in the full version?

Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Tell us which file you've upload and which query have you tried, we'll test it.
You can upload several files / folders at same time if you upload zip file ( and check the unzip option ), you can use too upload applet ( last icon on toolbar )
About permissions, you need administrator grants, for it must send some mail to us www.openkm.com/Contact and I'll give to you a user with this rights
I suggest you take a look at our documentation at wiki.openkm.com ( specially on administration guide and user guide )

We're currently working on a upload queue but it'll be available on next release not in 5.1.x branch

Thank you for the information, this was very helpful.

Is there a way to scan a document that has multiple pages? Each time I scan a 3-4 page test document it only keeps the first page of the scan.

The last openkm version has scanner applet changed and might scanning multiple pages
