Collaborative Writing

Hello,
is it possible to edit files in the web UI directly? For example by using Open Office.
And furthermore, is it planned to integrate a collaborative writing feature (like in Google Docs)? So that different users may simultaneously edit a document?

It's 90 % finished zoho integration and planned google docs.

Does it mean, that the files are still hosted inside OKM? Not in ZOHO or GoogleDocs.

In zoho are only temporary while editing, total transparent to user. On google docs will be something similar, we'll must uploading file there, editing remotelly and then restore to OpenKM.

I saw the ZOHO fields in the configuration table in the okm database. Is ZOHO integrated yet?

It's 90% integrated ... we need one day working to finishing ... but now we're involved on some critical changes and we've got pending ... really we only must finish the remote zoho call to openkm server to save the document changed, the other integration parts are yet done.

Zoho it's already implemented in LTE that will be released on february. Althought it, it's easy to upgrade version 5.1.8 with this feature.

No, we expect to release OpenKM 5.1.8 in few days (maybe this week) but this is not the LTE branch. This future OpenKM versión will be release in first quarter of 2012. Or maybe the Zoho integration will be included on a future OpenKM 5.1.9 release, but only due to a costumer request.

Why only with a costumer request?
Can't I request it here in the forum? I would lovely use this feature in OKM 5.1.9 and I'm sure a lot of other people would too.

Basically because our roadmap calendar is full, and only we make exceptions to customers requirements, bugs, or something critical, otherside we continue on our actual planning. Obviously we can not attend any requirement at the time some users wants, because that colisions with roadmap and with normal application future development, must be some order.

Hi again,
I've got a question about the ZOHO extension. Is it possible to use collaborative writing? Means, is it possible for different users to work on the same document at the same time? Or does the ZOHO extension only supports editing for one user?
