Re: script import mail

Hello,
thanks for the fast reply. However, I get a 404 when I hit that link.
BTW: I dont program in Java (only c' but not here). Does the source translate to web service? I mean, I understand that there isan object called mail. But how would I make this available in a php script?

Best regards

script import mail

Hello, I want to import emails provided as .eml to openkm. When I do this manually (i. e. clicking on import in the ui) it works fine and converts the mail nicely. However, then I tried to upload using webdav and no conversion takes place. Now I want to try import using php, but I dont know how to u...

Re: mtime spoils incremental backup of repository

How can I help investigating? I have no idea how jackrabbit works and how it could in their forum. The service is running but was not touched for several days now. No user interaction, no import. I have 495 files in the datastore found by "find datastore -type f | wc -w" of which 495 have been modif...

mtime spoils incremental backup of repository

Hello, I am referring to a thread from 2010 which as died. I automatically do backups of the repository and database (OpenKM 5.1.7) . I tried to implement incremental backup on the repository but always the full repository is backed up. I found out that each file of the repository gets an updated at...

Incremental backup and mtime

Hello, I while ago there was a thread about the problem that openkm sets the mtime of repository file each night. I recently asked there for news. Because there were no answers then. I open up this as a new topic. I think it is quite important to many people to be able to do incremental backups on t...

Re: Backing up the repository directory

Hello,

is there any update on that issue? I observe the same behavior. Even if I have no external traffic for several days, all my repository files have a mtime stamp of midnight. Inremental backup is ruled out with that.

Best regards,

Re: Searching PDF OCR

I just upgraded to 5.0.3 Build 5159 and tried again with a fresh pdf. It also does not matter if it is pdf or pdf/a. The pdf is not searched in my local installation. Again I uploaded to your demo site and it worked immediately. My indexing_configuration.xml: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE configur...

Re: Searching PDF OCR

Hello, are there any updates on this topic here? I got a similar problem: I OCRed scanned TIFs with Finereader 10. Results are: -Search for text with Acrobat, ok. -Upload to online demo and search, ok. -Upload and search on local installation, fail. -Old PDFs that I imported months ago at installati...

Re: Automatic import

Hello, just for the ones who still follow the orginal question. A friend of mine was able to help me out and put together a -really- simple php script that does the upload job. I want to share it with you: <?php $okmurl="http://localhost:8080/OpenKM/"; $okmid="username"; $okmpw="password"; $impfile ...

Re: Automatic import

Hi all, yes, I do need the same function as you but I fear cannot afford professional development. I am using openKM in a personal environment at home. I have some programming knowledge my own. But I have limited time and never programmed a web service. Though I like openKM I think I cannot contribu...

Re: Automatic import

Thank you for all the clarifications. Now I wonder how could I solve my problem being a community member?

I guess I have to write my own code. Either as plugIn if this is possible or via web service. But at least the documentation for web service is restricted, right?

Re: Automatic import

Hi pavila, your last statement : In this case I can implement a plugin which can be scheduled within OpenKM using the CronTab. So, all the files in a predefined server path have to be imported into OpenKM and deleted after this? is exactly what I was looking for. I think it would be a powerful exten...

Re: Automatic import

Hello joako, exactly. What I need is a hot folder. But a single one would be enough for me. Your suggestion would be even better to differentiate document types. Either as a feature of the scheduler (?) OR a program/script to put a file into openKM like : >importkm.sh -s myserver -d where_to_put_it ...
