I've just upgraded from openKm 5.1.11 to 6.2.3 but i am having trouble assigning permissions to users. I want some folders under okm:root to be accessed by specific individuals. By default all users are assigned the ROLE_USER. All folders under okm:root have been assigned ROLE_USER, with Read, Write, Delete, Security. every time i uncheck The Write, Delete and security options, nothing happens. is this a bug in OpenKM 6.2.3.

I've also observed that i can not remove the ROLE_USER from the folders.

Help me. how can i go about this issue of user permission

Godfrey

It seems that there are troubles with permission management in OpenKM 6.2.3 and sadly have not been detected until was released. I will fill an issue and will be included in the next OpenKM Community release.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any idea when the next community edition with functioning permissions will be released? I'm trying to do an in-house demo of OpenKM for our agency (and possible upgrade to Professional Edition). The system is great and has a lot to offer, but the permissions issue will render it unusable to us.

Thanks

You can upgrade with nightly build at integration.openkm.com this is version 6.2.3 with some patches that will be next 6.2.4, here http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Migrat ... 3_to_6.2.4 actual steps for migration ( get in mind is not final 6.2.4 and whent you migrate to final 6.2.4 you should repeat it again ).
