MS Word 2007+ document preview not showing imbedded images

Hello,

Specific to document previews, MS Word 2003 and 'older' versions of .doc files preview perfect - with colors, with imbedded graphics, etc.

PDFs, JPGs, .xls files, txt files, and other supported files are also previewing perfect.

However, newer versions of MS Word files (Word 2007 - .docx files) preview only the text and are not showing graphics/etc. I tested this same issue using the online demo system and I could recreate the problem.

What is needed to make Word 2007 .docx files preview correctly - with imbedded images/etc, versus only previewing the text? I suspect it's an OpenOffice version or the conversion tool issues like imagemagic or swftools? I did not test Excel 2007 .xlsx files to see if the same issue happens, I only tested .docx files.
