Two problems: Wizard and German Umlauts

I just installed OpenKM Community Version on Ubuntu 12.04 and access it from a Windows 7 computer via Firefox. After lot of reading and configuration work most things work properly but I did not find the solutions to the following problems:
1. I have created a user profile and checked in the user profile settings the wizard for categories and for property groups. While the wizards show up when I add a new file using the "add document" button or menu entry, the wizard does not show up when I add a new file using a scanner. Since 99% of my documents are scanned documents (invoices, receipts, letters) it would be great if the wizard would also show up when I add a document using the scanner. Is this possible?
2. When I scan a document and use a German Umlaut (ä ö ü) in the filename, this Umlaut is replaced by a ? (question mark). Is this a bug or can it be configured that the Umlauts are preserved? After the documents are stored in OpenKM I can manually replace the question mark with the correct Umlaut, but of course I would prefer that I don't need this additional step.
Thanks a lot for any help.
Dieter

I just noticed that the wizards do also not work when using the file uploader.
Isn't there any solution to activate the wizards for the scanner (and the file uploader)?

Have you created some automation task ?
Can you test with our online demo at demo.openkm.com ?

No, I have not created any automation tasks. I have only set in Administration/Profiles the Wizard for Property Group "Detail" and for Categories.

How can I test this with the online demo? I cannot login as administrator (only user0 to user9) and so I cannot activate the Wizard in the Administration tab since this is not available for users. I logged in as user9 and uploaded a document but no wizard appeared which means that it is not activated.
Regarding the German Umlaut problem I scanned a document into the online demo and named it with German Umlauts. This file was correctly stored with Umlauts in the demo (see document "Test für Umlaute äöü aou.pdf" in the below screeshot).

I did exactly the same on my local machine and the Umlauts are changed to ??? as you can see below:

Any ideas what I can change regarding the Umlauts and how I can activate the Wizard for scanned files?
Thanks
Dieter

For testing purpose I have now installed OpenKM on my Windows 7 computer (remember, my regular version is installed remotly on an Ubuntu 12.04 system).
When I scan a document on my Windows computer into the Windows version of OpenKM the same problem happens with the German Umlauts. That means, they are also replaced with ???.
So it seems not to be a problem of the Ubuntu installation or of the combination "Ubuntu server/Windows client".

OK ok, you talk about wizard when you directly scan files from toolbar scan option. Probably there's some bug on community version or limitation within versus profesional version.

Thanks for your answer.
1.

How can I find out whether it is a bug (which hopefully will be fixed in a future version) or if it is a limitation of the community version? If it is a bug, is there a way to report bugs?
2. Regarding the German Umlaut problem. Do you have an idea how this can be solved?

Do you mean the wizard problem or the Umlaut problem (or both)?

The professional version is much to expensive (over 2000 $).
Is it possible to start the wizards in the Community version when a document has been scanned using scripting?
Is the German Umlaut problem really a problem of the Community version or could it be a configuration problem of my system? It would be great if somebody could test if such non ascii characters are a general problem (or not a problem) in the Community version. Not only the German umlauts are a problem but also the Spanish characters ñ is only shown as ? when I use it in the name of a scanned document.

You're welcome to get community source code and make source code changes in order making openkm better.

Please, try a recent nightbuild from
http://integration.openkm.com/6.2/ because we want to make a release soon and need feedback from users.

I am on a business trip for the next two/three days and can test only after I am back at home.
How do I install a nightbuild? At
http://integration.openkm.com/6.2/ I found only a .war file. What do I have to do with this file for installation on ubuntu?
