hi,

i am using openKm 5.1.9, iam trying to lock a documnet so that inside the same group only some people can access it , i tried to lock a documnet as adminidtrator and the loged it as a group member user (not admin) and i can acess the file !! which i am not looking for ! is ther a way to do this? lock the file and give access to some people ?

Create a new profile type and choose only required options and see...

The lock idea is basically the user who lock is the only who can take access that document. Role lock or groups of users lock can not be possible, really everybody ( almost applications we have seen ) does in the same way, that the real lock idea. What you purpose really is not a lock is a grants accessing, consider change security to get this kind of feature.

i will try using the security.

but i notice even when i lock the file for me , any one in the same group can access it !!?

But can not modify ? lock is only to do not allows modify document, but not read accessing.
