Hi jillort and pavilla,

Today, I upgrade my browser to IE8 for webdav download test, however, I found a new problem with IE.

For both IE7 and IE8, sometimes, when I click a directory, I cannot see any information (eg. URL, WebDAV) below the file listbox, while clicking files will see the information. But openkm demo site works well in my browser.
I am using latest Version: 5.1.10-SNAPSHOT (build: 7481).
Please see the attached pic

It seems like the fronted has not been compiled with IE8 support. I don't understand the reason because by default compiles for all browsers. Try to clean the browser cache.

Anyway I recommend upgrade to IE9 for improved speed and support.

Yes, I understand, but this is still a little bit strange. If I point to a file, then ,the frame display well, the problem only happened when I point to a directory.

I can confirm this issue with IE8 in OpenKM Community. With IE9 works fine. OpenKM Professional have some improvements requested by our costumers and has better support for IE8, but we encourage the upgrade to IE9.

We will study the option to improve OpenKM Community in this sense, but keep on mind that this is not a priority for us.

I'll invetigate the problem. IE it's a buggy browser, I suggest change to other. Althought it I'll take a look on it, probably there's some show / hide resizing problem with this browser. If you change to document tab and then return to folder not appearing ? On monday I'll try take some time to investigating it.

Hi jillort,

If I point the mouse to file and then point back to folder, the frame is still empty.

I agree with you that IE is buggy, and I myself is using firefox as default. However, windows system is still the majority, therefore, IE support is still a big thing now that lots of people are not IT staff and they can only use IE as browser.
