Preview Text Documents as text

Is there anyway to preview text documents as text in the preview tab. I want to be able to preview a text document and then copy the text to paste into notepad or some other application.

You've got several options now:
1- http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Zoho ( actual live edit integration )
2- convert document as pdf and copy from there
3- We've planned in our roadmap google docs integration, but I've yet not got time for doing it. I want to introduce this feature in next 6.0 version that really will be released in few weeks ( initally will not get it, but I'll work to be done during this year sure ).

Nothing there tells me how to enable it.. The idea is to be able to select a txt file preview it use the text or not then move on to the next. What I dont want is to have to open up another application for each text document. So if I have to open another app there is nothing to gain by using zoho over notepad for my use.

Do you mean a text-plain preview of the document? This can be easilly implemented as an extension, but I'm not sure if this is a great feature to be included in OpenKM.

In the Developmen Guide of the wiki you have information about creating custom extensions. The other option is became a customer and pay us to develop the extension for you.
