Adding notes to files/folders not working?

When I click a file or folder, and click 'Notes', the area to input text is disabled. I can't add notes to any files or folders, and this feature is very important to our company.

Nevermind, it was merely a permissions issue. My bad.

If you don't have write grants - as user - you can not write notes.
