Automatic import

Hello,

Here a few questions related to the import of new documents.

First of all, is it possible to allow the NON admin users to do so ?

Second question is related to the admin functionnality. Would it be possible to use register a new Cronjob to :
  • check out the content of a folder every minute for documents
  • Import them
  • Rename them (with a UID for instance) in case the document already exist with such name
  • Delete the source document if the import work properly
After this, it would be even better to be able to start a workglow to 'take care' of these newly imported document.
Using a wizard would be great.

Could you provide some pointers about how to do this?

I would like understanding better the uploading process. You're thinking on crontab due remotelly capture some network folder, is that the idea ? What it'll be copied there and who will copy ... because other solution could be share some folder via webdav and other program or human copy documents there. It's more simply scenario then crontab only is looking for new documents on some openkm folder ... answer it and then will be talk to other questionss.

Well :)

Nothing to say more than I just did not think about this option.
That also due to the fact that I use XP at the moment and I did not get webdav to work yet.

I like the solution and you propose and I will give it a try.

Thanks for your quick answer!

In the documentation wiki (http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/WebDAV_access) you can learn more about the WebDAV support.
