My current version is 4.0(buid 469), I want to upgrade to 5.0.3, how to upgrade this system?

Before doing anything make a complete backup of your system !!!
1- First you must upgrade to 4.0 to 4.1 version, mandatory, and test that all it's right. Take a look here.
2- Then I suggest downloading last OpenKM version 5.0.3.
2.1. MIgrate the repository 4.x to 5.x as it's described on http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Migrat ... 4.1_to_5.0
2.2. OpenKM.cfg migration:
Also change the configuration property from 2.3. User migration. Because we've changed to hibernate user will not be configured on new migration system. You must migrate it manually. By fefault okmAdmin will have admin password and users will not be present because can not automatically migrated.
2.4. Start jboss , and try login.
2.5. Stop jboss OpenKM.cfg and set hibernate.hbm2ddl to none.

When it'll be done we can talk about where are your older user credentials and how to recover it.
