Open Source Document Management System | OpenKM

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to know if OpenKM's Workflow is capable in controlling document being uploaded into the DMS?

For an example User1 and User2, once they upload it would go to manager1 and must be approved before the document would appear in the DMS..

If this is possible, will it be hard to configure my current openkm to do this?

The way for doing it is quite different you're thinking

1- Document is uploaded in some public folder
2- Automatically any document uploaded there could be moved to other or starting a workflow process. In both cases the objective is changing privileges or move to some place users can not see it. The basic operation to move or change privileges could be done by workflow or scripting.
3- Then you can assing a workflow ( if you select the scripting way ) or simply continue with other workflow task.
