No PDF preview - Looks like Linux browsers issue

Hello,

Just downloaded the RC1 and uncompressed it and followed the wiki quick install instructions (CentOS 5.5 x86_64)

All seems to work nice apart from PDF preview.

(Not tested other formats since PDF is the only format of importance to me right now).

No PDF file can be previewed through local running (i.e. on the machine running OKM) firefox.

Also the same files can not be previewed from other linux clients firefox or chromium browsers.

However I notice that the same pdf files can not be previewed on the demo server either.

Also on the demo server no format can be previewed.

Having applied hints found in here (Forum, FAQ, Trouble shooting) did not made any difference for the local server.

Has this something to do with linux browsers or it has something to do with RC1, or something to do with my config?

Sortly after posting the above questions, I remembered the power of virtualization.

Using a WinXP virtual machine, it turns out (accessing the demo server) that the problem is with linux browsers.

Explorer is pre-viewing the same pdf file just fine as well as most other files in the demo server apart from .txt files.

So what is missing from the linux browsers to preview anything?

Any hint will be appreciated.

Thank you All for your time.

Theophanis Kontogiannis.

You need a recent version of Flash plugin to see the previewer. Preview is working from my linux box in Firefox and Chome pretty well.
