Firebird SQL support

Just out of curiosity, has any work or testing been done with the Firebird RDBMS?
I have not tried myself and if I implement OpenKM on a personal system of mine, I would like to have it (and all my other programs that utilize DB's) to run off it.

In java, I think you can connect to firebird using an ODBC driver from oracle as is documented on the firebird site. If you don't know, I'm not too worried. I plan on trying this out when I get a server setup and can post back then. I'm sure you have more important things to do in the meantime.
:)

With firebird need hibernate and jackrabbit supporting

here you've got the hibernate dialegs ( firebird is present - good news)
http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/core/3. ... l-dialects

Seems with jackrabbit can be some problem, not sure, we'll must investigate more on google
http://jackrabbit.apache.org/api/1.4/or ... mmary.html ( here is not present )
http://jackrabbit.apache.org/api/1.3/or ... nager.html ( not too )

I suggest not losing time, and before testing make some question in jackrabbit mailing list http://jackrabbit.apache.org/mailing-lists.html
