Can I use my website server as the localhost?

that is the question. the answer is yes and I want to know if this software can supported on a dedicated server?

Of course, can be easilly installed on any dedicated server or virtualized, there's no problem on it. And in some servers that supporting jboss can be installed too, really OpenKM only has jboss application server and java dependences to be installed.
