Open Source Document Management System | OpenKM

Hi,
It would be nice to have an option to create links to documents within OpenKM. So basically a document which is hosted in one folder could be copied as an active link to an other folder from where that could be opened and history (incl version number) be viewed.
Because the file located in different folders, there might be different security levels applied - based on the security settings of the folder, so basically in one folder it could be read only while in an other selected users could update it.

Yes, this would be a great addition, we're missing this feature a lot, too.

Today I've finished it.

We've make something more, than initial idea. Document can have several stapling groups. Into Each stapling group can be added documents, folders and mails.

It'll be available only as a OpenKM extension into our OpenKM professional supported installations. Now we're involved in finishing AUTOCAD previewer as a extension, digital signature, etc... that extension modules it'll be only available into our OpenKM professional supported installations version.

The idea is building a extensions repository, some it'll be free and others it'll be only available in payment version.

Is this the same thing as having several categories assigned to a document?

No. The idea is create some group that joins documents, folders and mails.
