Open Source Document Management System | OpenKM

I am totally new and want to investigate this application for document management. Before I download and install it, I have some questions I'd like answers on:

• Is there any online API documentation available regarding the webservice?
  What is the wsdl on the demo site?
  Jboss 4.2.x is really old.Will it install on JBoss 6.x?
  Does it support multiple file systems (storage locations)?
  I read OCR and Twain is supported. Any documentation regarding scanner integration?
  Any information available about large archives?

In wiki.openkm.com you'll find the major information you need ( for example webservices api ) and yes are avaliable on demo.openkm.com

Probably we'll install jboss 5 in next OpenKM version ( about jboss 6, newer don't mean better, we only upgrade with stable jboss versions and tested by us )

I don't know what you means about storage locationsa ? several databases, yes we support it, if it's not your question explain better.

What's for you a large file ?

What's for you a large file ?

Great Wiki, and most information is there, but I am still in the dark regarding scanner integration, and in specific a barcode scanner. I cannot find any documentation regarding scanners.

Regarding large files, I really mean many files, I talk about multiple directories on file system with thousands of documents and or images. These are in the 2.5k - 10k range.

If you've got to scanning so much documents, then you must not use our UI scanning tool. Must integrate some scanning software to OpenKM, that's the way.

Depending what you want to do, and your budget have several possibilities in market ( none free in scanning world )
