Wishes for OpenKM (next version ?)

Hello,
I saw on this forum you were working on OpenKM 5.0. My wishes for this future version should be:
-support for Office 2007 documents
-better (more flexible) integration of IMAP
-online edition of Office documents (would be a terrific remplacement for SharePoint - see what is done, for example, by Nuxeo with its LiveEdit extension)
-Direct drag-and-drop from Windows desktop to OpenKM (Nuxeo provides IE et Firefox extensions to do that - more powerfull than WebDav in my point of view)
OpenKM is really a very good software, and -at least for our utilisation

-, with those extra functionnalities, it would be the "killer app".

1- We support MS office but I'm not sure if 2007 version are too supported, have you tested it ? it depends about some internal library version to parse into office documents, i had suposed 2007 are supported too, please tell me if you've got problems on it, we've founded some problems on .xls format for example with some patched MS Office version.
2- I don't know if for 5.0 it'll be yet done, but in our roadmap one major goal is integration directly with some mail client ( specially office family ).
3- We're working on direct editing in UI.
4- I'll study drag and drop to UI, I had thinking in some applet not on browser extension, but it could be a good possibility too.

For drag-and-drop, an applet would be better than extension, because it needs no additionnal software on clients.
I know an applet "jClientUpload" from Javazoom which can do that (
http://www.javazoom.net/applets/jclient ... pload.html), but most tools I know (for example, Zimbra and Nuxeo) need to install an extension.

With Office 2007, the search function seems to run fine, but the Prewiew is unavailable

Is your roadmap public ?
Can we have any idea about it ?
(it seems there is nothing about that on your public site)

Some enhancements are done, like categories view, thesaurus view, and automatic keyword extraction ( this we've not enabled in demo ). Today we've updated demo.openkm.com and you can see.
About direct editing, for example, I've been working on it last week but is still not yet done it's not easy, if we're lucky next week.
We don't want to release oficial OpenKM 5.0. since july or september, it's not good for end user so much repository migration. But we'll got some 5.0 pre-release installation in this month. If you want to testing OpenKM 5.0 beta contact with us using contact form.
