HTTP problem

Hi, I am new to openKM. A few days ago I was reading about it, and decided to give it a try. I have downloaded the JBoss bundle and installed it on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. So far so good, except that when I run the default installation, all indicates that JBoss starts up correctly and the app gets deployed, however when I go to
http://myserveraddress:8080/OpenKM nothing shows. I have checked the logs and there is no indication of an error. I check my open ports using `netstat`, and all configured service ports are open and listening except 8080. I am certain that no other service is using this port. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't access any HTTP sites only HTTPS sites. In a virtual machine running XP I have no problems..I have tried reinstalling the browsers, Turning off system restore, Virus scans, System Restored..I have been trying to get this to work for a week so am close to considering a reinstall......
Any Help would be great..?..
