if I just want to save the file information to the database ,The file itself is saved to the local file system.openkm able to do so do? at present

you must make some changes in repository.xml, in this week we'll open wiki documentation, there you'll find all we'll explained.

If you want specific configuration to database I recomend or signing for OpenKM Network or searching in google for it ( you'll find some information there too about jackrabbit database configuration )
