For some reason, OpenKM has decided that a document is being \"edited by null\". The only other post on here about the issue is in Spanish, and even with Google Translate I didn\'t understand it. How can I resolve this issue?

Even logged in as \"admin\" I cannot cancel the check-out or anything.

Just a little idea: how about shutting down openkm and restart again?

No such luck. It seems to be stored in the database. Perhaps there is a SQL query I could run to change it to an actual user?

SQL? You're using SQL as a backend database server?

OTOH, where is that post in Spanish? I might understand.

I don\'t know, I guess it uses Jackrabbit to store the files, but I\'m not sure...

The Spanish post is here: http://www.openkm.com/Uso/2765-Document ... .html#2765

I see.

Actually in that thread, the OP didn't get any definite answer either. He said he wasn't able to delete the document as well, even as admin.

Jillort thought it was because the transfer (check-in) was stopped prematurely leading to such problem. He had indeed said that we should enter the repositories to fix it, but personally I think unless you're very good at Jackrabbit, this suggestion doesn't seem very feasible.

I think you should file a bug report. They should implement a "back-door" for admin to delete documents.

I can\'t file a bug, since the bug-tracker is down! Very unfortunate...

Anyway, I want to cancel the check-out, not delete the file :-/

You could contact them. Their on-line demo was also down days ago. I had to contact them to have it back up.

Through their website, of course. There's a page for that.

We\'ll please be carefull with it.

You must be connected as administrator, ok ?
Please before doing anything make a backup !!!!!!
When you\'ll be loged go to /OpenKM/repository_view.jsp ( that\'s internal utility to browser and change directly repository ).
Go to document, and cancel check-out, and lock directly.

Please be care with this utility you\'re making changes directly to repository.

Hi and thank you for the answer! That resolved my issue! Maybe there should be a link to this resource in the Admin area? (With a warning!)

NO never.

Really it\'s better if you never need it. And we want to prevent some user make disasters ( it has happened ), for it is never commented on documentation, and really I think it\'s first time we write about it on forum.

Perhaps it would be better to allow the administrative user to cancel checkout, delete documents, etc then?

Belive me, it\'s better you don\'t know it exists, because some curiously administrators could create a great disaster ( only some ).
