Open Source Document Management System | OpenKM

I need to create a classification for documents (public, internal, restricted, confidential) that are uploaded to OKM to adapt to our information security policy. I believe that metadata is ideal, but I didn't find a clear "how to" to follow. Could someone share an example (step by step)?

I believe I understood how metadata works. I modified the xml and registered it. It worked the way I wanted but..... I was just wondering why in a video about metadata, there is the topic of creating the structure in the database?
