In OpenKM the binary data is stored the same binary data without modifications ( only different name ) in a folder in the file system under repository. If you want an explanation about how to know for each document the exact location in the file system, I can explain.
I do not suggest duplicate data. If in future you want an image of your repository also you have the option to export entire repository in the file system as a regular folder and documents hierarchy with default OpenKM export feature ( Administration > Tools > Repository export, take a look at this documentation section https://docs.openkm.com/kcenter/view/ok ... xport.html )
