I can add categories but I cant upload file for the category,

I can only add the files in my documents, can you please explain how to add the files in categories I have created

Is not allowed uploading file in categories structure, categories structure is like metadata, you set a link between categories and documents. The documents are in the taxonomy and categories relations allow you to navigate in the documents of the taxonomy in another manner. That is the idea behind categories.
