Both importing from the local filesystem and importing from a zip file results in an error if any of the files/folders have one of the swedish characters åäö.

When importing from local storage the error is OKM-013013

Explicity it says it cant find the directory.

Which operating system are you using on OpenKM server.

Have you changed default locale configuration ? is UTF-8 ?

OpenKM inherits OS level and could have problems if you\'ve changed utf-8 language locale to other. That could be one reason to having problems with some character while importing from OS file directories.

I have a similar problem. After reading this, I tried to upload a zipped directory, called test_öäå. The contents of the directory was a text file, named (really creatively...) öäå.txt.
OpenKM faild to import the zipped directory, with the error message:

Error imorting file
Exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

When I tried to import the basic text file, it just hung for over 15 minutes with no way to cancel the operation - I had to close the browser window.

You\'ve got UTF-8 on your locale ? or have changed to some ISO ?

Here you are.

The text file was created with Notepad2, and the folder was zipped with 7-Zip. [file name=___.zip size=411]http://www.openkm.com/images/fbfiles/files/___.zip[/file]

Interesting, it seems the file import for this forum cannot handle accented letters either... neither does my usual \"back-up\" hosting service...
