Hi,

i use Windows 10 1511 Build 10586.164 with the recent updates. I cannot start OKMScanner Application ver 2.1. I raise the following error:
Error on starting OKMScanner
Error on starting OKMScanner
2016-03-13 22_25_15-Error.png (16.89 KiB) Viewed 2520 times
So i loaded the exe in Dependency Walker to see whats missing:
Missing Files for OKMScaner
Missing Files for OKMScaner
2016-03-13 22_28_19-Program Manager.png (65.88 KiB) Viewed 2520 times
The Error in german means: The System cannot found the specified file (2)

Both errors give me the intention thats something wrong with the .NET Framework. All my other applications are working.

So, is it possible to build to tool on my computer ? Or do you have special hints 8)

Best regards from Germany

Florian

Okay. I solved this problem on my own. Acrobat Reader was missing. I googled the posted exception again and read a post about missing com elements. so i do regsvr32 with some of the dll in the OKM Scanner Tool 2.1 directory. After registering the AcroPDF.dll the applications starts but raises errors again. So i unregister the dll and installed the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader. Result: No errors.
One little Bug in the application anywhere: If you select device and use wia you get an error. ok. i did. i use a canon mx725 over wlan. Fortunately the twain interface seems working for me.

Maybe this helps someone

We suggest use TWAIN rather WIA ( not supports correctly most of devices ).
