Updating Property Group - Forever

For some reason one file on our openkm installation when clicked on says "Updating property group" and never stops.

In the log i see it tries to open the file, but nothing after, as if it is hung. Also, after displaying this, i can't do anything with openkm until i hit refresh in the browser.

So I thought the easiest fix would be to delete the file as I do have another copy of it. Is there any command line or terminal where I could delete just this one file?

I'm running openkm 6.3 on debian.

Most probably cause will be an error ( see if there's some error in catalina.log server while are doing it ). Also enable UI log ( CTRL+Z ) to see if some error happens there ( we're interested on errors after appears updating property group ).

THanks for the response, unfortunately I don't see much in the logs...

I tried clicking on the item at Server time 8:03 and 8:15.
catalina.log had the following:

Is there a way to turn on more verbose logging?

Also is there anyway from the command line to delete that file from the repository?

In this situation the only solution is debug frontend, for it you need to configure developement IDE http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Developer_Guide and debug with gwt http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Debugging_with_GWT ( when you see localhost:8080 you can change to your real server ( ip or domain ), you'll execute GWT locally and see the complete debug info about why is going wrong)

Hi.. i got similiar situation. Im using Openkm v.6.3.0 under Centos.

The steps to produce are
1) Right click a file and click Edit. This will make the file in edited status with edit icon appeared at the left side of the file.
2) Check the check box of the file. This will make the check box is checked.
3) Right click on the file and click unlock.
4) Click accept Button on the window confirmation.

After that your openkm window should be freezed everytime you click the file.
Please let me know if you still cannot reproduce using the steps i will make an video.

Yes.. my user just accidentally clicked it.

So what i was doing to avoid that issue for temporary is backup the folder where the file exist, delete the folder and restore the folder, remove lock/unlock menu (i dont need this either) to avoid it happened again.

Is it possible to include the bug fixed in the next release?

Yes the error still there, i can reproduce it with the same steps.

Once it freeze, all the button/link wont work and the only thing i can do is refreshing the page.

But i cannot produce the same error from this link http://demo.openkm.com/

is http://demo.openkm.com/ source code different with version 6.3.1-DEV (build: 8221) ?
If its different, can i get the war file, i want to try in my environment. If still failed, it must be something wrong with my environment not the app.

The source code from demo online (professional) is not the same than community. At least now the issue is clear with the video, unfortunately the sourceforge guys are doing maintenance task and our svn is not accessible at this moment ( that means we're doing local changes but we can not upload remotelly -> that affects the nightly build, what can not be generated ).

I will talk with one of my colleagues, because I do not know if he has yet solved the problem or not, anyway we must be patient with sourceforge maintenance, because until be finished we can not apply any change.
