Hi All,

Is there a way to convert emails downloaded by OpenKM to pdf files or have them printed?

I am using the CE v6.3.

There's a button in openkm to convert documents to pdf ( you can see in toolbar ) but I think with mail is not enabled ( confirm to us ). something to discuss, convert mail text to pdf will be easy, but what do if mail have got some attachments, should also be included or do a end page ( addtional ) what indicate the list of attached documents ( because depending format will not be possible to merge with pdf ). What's your opinion about it ?

Thank you for your prompt response.

The option to convert documents to pdf is not enabled for emails. If I am to fully implement OpenKM this would be a requirement. We will be maintaining a file for all clients, which includes their emails, in pdf format so that at anytime a hardcopy of the client's file can be produced if requested.

Merging an attachment to the email would be a great (optional) feature especially if a word/excel document is attached. But I do understand that this could give rise to issues for other file formats. This for me is not a requirement because I could always retrieve the attachment from the email archive.

This feature must be implemented and I can not provide you an estimation date when will be able to doing it. If you want to collaborate on it, I can try to guide you amond the classes you must take a look on. Do you got java skills for doing it ?

The converting of emails to pdf is a feature I would really love to see in OpenKM, but I guess I have no choice but to wait until you guys decide to include it, as I am not a programmer.

Thanks again for your speedy response.
