all is in the title ,is there a way to copy metadata from one file to another?

No, this feature at the present does not exists, althought seems interesting. You thing on some button on UI, because with scripting could be done something about it.

Yes that was a request coming from a discussion with potential users, this will be an interesting feature. Or another way to do will be to select multiple files and edit common metadata for all selected files.

Editing metadata on multiple files is available ( I do not remember if community comes with it, but in professional I'm sure ).
About copy metadata and paste among other objects could be implemented, but should be a customer who demand it. In our roadmap for community edition cannot be included for now ( at least during next year )

Anyway if someone implement this feature and send us the code, we can add it to OpenKM Community.
