Importer error

Now, using the latest editions ie 6.2.6-dev and whilst using 6.2.4 whenever I use the importer ie files from a mounted drive to opnekm I get (after a few imports) Error:null and import stops.
Is there any way we can fix this?
I am using debian server and mysql as db.

Which parameters check to do export ? and what to do import. Seems you want to downgrade to 6.2.4 why ? is not the normal procedure ( export from newer version import to olders is not good idea ).

I have not downgraded I just indicated a problem that was present since version 6.2.4. I am now using 6.2.6 dev. I am not using any parameters just quote the links from the source to the repository. The source is a directory on debian (same server that openkm is running) which contains pdfs and .doc files.

For what I understand you're trying to import simple forder / files structure from hard disk. Is it ? and then you get errors confirm to us.

Yes correct. I am using the importer every day for bulk imports. When trying to import a lot of files (a few thousands) the importer works initially but then abruptly stops with Error:null. This happens every time and stops at different stages ie not at a particular file or other.

imports are from openkm format ? and in this case which openkm version you're exporting and which using for import ?

I am not importing from OpenKM. I am importing simple files from a local filesystem folder on the server.

For what I understand you simply select server folder. All check box from import section are unchecked and when you're importing you get this error. Is that ?
Do you got files with special characters ?
Which is your OS and you OpenKM version ?

Yes all import options are unchecked and this error comes during the import process.
I am using OS is Debian Squeeze AMD64. Openkm and the files being imported are located on the same server.
No files with special characters used. The error appears at different intervals and stop and random points.

Can you repeat the import action and:
1- capture screenshot of import form
2- we would like to see the catalina.log file comple stack trace error ( go there and copy here, only the error please not all log )

I have checked a lot of times, and there are absolutely no error indications in the catalina .log which just stops. I am not attaching this as it contains names of files which are highly confidential. The same holds true with the screen log which just freezes at some point with absolutely no error indication other than "Error: null" in red at the bottom. I am sure this is a common problem and you should be able to emulate the error in your own system for bug review.
Let me know how else I can help.

What amount of files are you uploading in number, to do some test.

Sorry for the delay in my response.
the amount of files is 50000 approximately but most files have already been uploaded in the repository and the system just syncs only the files which it is unable to find in the repository. It freezes at a point of 5-10% checking, and never at the same spot. To my mind this appears to be some kind of overload as folders of smaller size (in total files) are synced well without hiccups.

Do you got antivirus enabled into OpenKM, some automation task or similar ?
I think in $Tomcat folder generate a log file, here can see also what happens. No error is shown in catalina log ?

No antivirus is enabled and no special tasks. The out-of-the-box version of openkm is being used with mysql.
No errors shown in catalina log as indicated above.
where exactly can I find the tomcat log?
