Open Source Document Management System | OpenKM

Good morning,

Today we opened up our OpenKM and it says "Error validating license, ensure your OpenKM has Internet connection.". We have been using this for along time as the community and now it says we are on a OpenKM Professional Trial. Is there a way to convert back to the community free version?

- First go to administration ip:8080/OpenKM/admin ( you can login there ) and let us to see which version are you using, there you can find info about it.

Before doing anything ensure you got a backup.

Version: 6.2.9 (build: 14438)

1 - First make a backup ( if you've not change OpenKM.cfg your default database should be embeded. If this is the case simply copy entire tomcat folder, for example into zip or tar.gz )

There're a lot of changes between community and professional, but we will try it:
1- stop application
2- Copy tomcat/webapps/OpenKM.war in some secure place ( probably we should need to restore it )
3- Download community nightly build at http://integration.openkm.com/6.2/OpenKM.war
4- Copy nighly build community OpenKM.war at tomcat/webapps
5- Delete folders tomcat/webapps/OpenKM and tomcat/work/Catalina/localhost
6- start openkm

First login probably you'll get some browser error ( click refresh button should solve it ). That's caused by browser cache. If after it you get some error tell us ( I'm not sure to downgrade version will be fine. Do not worry we can revert it ).

If goes right, try to test most important features ( upload new document, download documents, change document version etc... ) To ensure all goes right. If you detect some error then we will change the strategy.

use the openkm.war i have a 404 problem, is there another way safely for changing 6.2.18 professional to 6.2.4 community.
